The guy in the vid was pretty slow at some points anyway But yeah, if people actually have lag/delay (lag gets a lot of shit from people who actually don't lag, I feel bad for that lag ), fights are hard. yeah thing is theres several points where he is first out on his screen and first to react and yet he dies.

Ill record myself doing it the next time im in and post it and you can tell me if im slow too cause honestly i feel im reacting as fast as possible 99% of the time

Server lag can trick people into thinking they are faster than others. Lets say two people, with the same connection, move at the same time, they will move after each other on their screens. Had some fun in the beginning when people where learning Titan NM/HM where they were all like: "imma just follow and move with you :3" and they all die So people with latency issues have their own lag + server lag/delay to deal with. Which is sad, since most things in this game that wants to kill you sends aoe's in your face that you have to dodge and will make their playing-experience bad

Wow that really does suck .... reminds me of my PS3 Titan HM days @-@
Even funnier in Titan EX is when party members appear to be knocked off the edge on your screen but seconds later they are back on the platform ..... WTF !!

Surely the fact i see myself move before others means i am infact moving the same time as them and therefore should be fine. What i'm trying to understand is if it's a latency problem or a pure upload speed problem. My upload speed is not great its only 512 but surely the position info cant be taxing that?

I'm not saying you move/react slow just that SE made their servers work in a way that fucks people over and makes the lag/latency seem even worse than it is (a person is clearly out of aoe on their screen, but server doesn't register it that way). Edit: This explains better than me what I'm trying to say: www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/1r7a0t/great_explanation_why_some_people_cant_dodge_aoes/"Poor connections results in nearly unplayable conditions, specifically conditions which require fast reaction time"

Interesting. I've actually never thought of that, so I don't know :S Would be interesting to try.
