Tanking well is a bitch, I'm not gonna lie. I know I'm not a great tank, but I do my best to do a decent job of it... and then some asshole lolrandom DPS comes in does stupid shit, and then yells at ME for not holding agro. I totally know where this guy is coming from, but I ALSO have had to deal with asshole tanks, who won't listen to shit, and as abusive and belligerent as the dps. It's generally a two way street on this, where dps become assholes because they're used to bad tanks, and tanks become assholes because they're used to bad dps. It sucks from BOTH ends... like my mother.

Yeah coming into this game a complete MMO and tanking noob I will admit I'm not the best tank. I try to be the best I can and I definately sure in much better than I used to be. But DPS don't seem to want to follow the marks you lay out for them. Which is annoying. And then they piss and moan.
I agree with the guy about the asking for help thing though. I rolled Pharos on the roulette never ran it before so didn't have a clue. Asked the other people for tactics when we got to the boss and all I got was
Dps 1: 'dodge AoE kill shit'
Dps 2: 'kill everything! Let's go!'
Healer: 'this patch has been out a month you should know your job so come on'
Needless to say we wiped.. Fucking twats xD
Haven't done much DF yet with my SMN (mainly cos the queue times are fucking ridiculous) but I've noticed that the tanks are more often than not, v.bad.. They don't use flash in rotation to hold groups so my DoTs end up attracting aggro. Which should be counter acted as part of the tanks job.. I had the same problem when I first tanked with a ACN in my party though so I try to politely let them know. Again, the guys right. People get pissy when you try to help them/tell them what to do..
Bit yeah overall an interesting read nozzle Ty for sharing.
The guy seems like a big moaner though.. Lol

Really the only things I start frothing at the mouth at Tanks about are 1) spinning the mobs, and 2) running ahead before I have time to recharge my tp. Other than that, I generally leave the tank alone... except on the final boss of Flop, because you have GOT to pull that fuck OUT of the goddamn poison!!!!!
