For those of you who don't know, Crow and Tom are characters from the Show Mystery Science Theater 3000, or MST3K. Here are the the pair I'm working on. Tom is a lot farther along than crow, and really just needs his beak masked and painted with a coat of Testors Hot Rod Red to be complete. While Crow needs painted with a coat of Testors Lime Gold... and arms. he also needs arms... and touch ups on his eyes... There you have it. The real Crow T. Robot, and Tom Servo.

I knew there was something odd about you two. seriously though, that's amazing work Crow, don't suppose you have an awesome time lapse video of you building them or maybe once done you could expand on the build process

The time lapse would be broken up pictures of me staring at parts in confusion, and bleeding everywhere, lol.
Tom is from a lot of strange and very expensive places, if you go for original parts... I did not.
The head is actually a cheap Carousel Snack Dispencer, which is still made to this day, and can be bought for about $20. Tom's torso is a Money Lover's Barrel bank from the 70s, now so rare that they sell for a couple hundred dollars if you can even find one. His shoulders are made out of the fron part of an Eveready hand lantern from the 70s, though those aren't too rare. The lantern itself is actually the eye of the robot Gypsy from the show. His arms are from a "Seymour Bunz" doll, which dropped it's pants when you squeezed a bulb, and his hands are off of a ventriloquist's dummy from the 50s. His "hover skirt" is a Halloween candy bowl which has since become as rare as a unicorn. Speaking of unicorns, the "engine" on his chest is a replica because ALL of them are replicas of the original. Literally, none of the guys from the show remembered where they had gotten it, so they had to make a cast of it to make copies. This one is kind of dinged up because it's a cast, of a cast, of a cast. There's serious offers out there of thousands of dollars to people that can find what it's originally from.
The black things on his skirt are actually vacuformed copies Tyco toy trains.
Crow is actually much cheaper to build... till you get to the arms.
The eye part is a Schwarz Brother's soap dish from the 60s. I was lucky enough to get a real one. His mouth is a plastic bowling pin. It should be a Crown brand pin, or an Empire brand pin, but it's not. It's made from the same mold, but the originals are getting pretty hard to find since most people toss toy bowling pins. His "net" is a Cooper XL7 goalie mask. the "ears" at the top are actually broken off, but this was common even for the ones on the show, so it's not thought of as a negative.
His body is made out of two Tupperware Floraliers, which are basically cheap plastic flower things, and are so common they can go for as little as $5 on ebay.
Now, his arms, which I don't have, are just about as rare as Tom's engine block, but people actually know what they are. they're a Wallace WL81 'Genie' desk lamp, which are so rare now one sold at privet auction for about eight thousand dollars. Yeah, that's nuts.
And his hands are just labeled as "Italian Fanny Pinchers," which are sort of a toy grabbing hand, and pretty racist when you get down to it.

I think after Tom moves back, he and I would both be down for that.
